The number of units removed at each failure time is assumed to follow a binomial distribution. The maximum likelihood method is used to obtain the estimators of the parameters and reliability characteristics functions of Pareto-I distribution. Monte Carlo simulation is performed to compare the performance of maximum likelihood estimates under progressively type-II censoring with the different random schemes.
